Repentance, Prayer and End Time: Christian Jargon in Crisis?

Love Me

... . Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” ……(ESV) John 21:15 I feel that Jesus wants to remind us today saying “Love me.” Jesus had probably more than three and half  years of friendship with Peter, still Jesus asked Peter three times: Do you love me? Love is a word that is misunderstood a lot in today’s world. Some think that it is a mere feeling or likeness. In the Bible, love is defined very differently, especially the agape love – love is self-giving and self-sacrificing. The greatest love is laying down your life for someone. Love is a willful choice in favor of someone. Jesus has agape love towards us. The same way, he expects us to love him with agape love. The first and foremost commandment of the Lord is that we should love God. Here are a few ways to express love to Jesus: Lay down your life to Jesus. Many people would like to come to the presence of God only when they are free or things are convenient to them. When they are bu

Intimacy to fruitfulness

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. (ESV) John 15:4 Everything in the Kingdom of God flows to us through our intimacy with Jesus or our relationship with Jesus. We need to abide in him and he in us. In this intimacy, there is a great union between us and him. It refers to the oneness between Jesus and us. We need to be rooted and grounded in Christ. Our heart or spirit should be a tabernacle where Jesus indwells with glory. Yes, Christ dwells in our secret chambers of tabernacle of heart. This is why, we will not be able to build up an intimate relationship with Him without having a vulnerability with him. Ready to expose our heart before him – the secret thoughts, feelings and everything which we hide from others. As we become vulnerable to God, we meet him very intimately in our heart. It changes us and transforms us. As we grow in this experience, we will just confirm ours

Intimacy with God: God works in us

Isaiah 6:5-7 5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” (ESV) As you know God more intimately, you will know about yourself more. As we draw close to God, His Holy Spirit exposes every hidden darkness in us.   It leads us into brokenness in our heart and spirit of repentance. Lord first work in us before He works through us for others. Isaiah had a ministry in waiting. God wants to work within Isaiah before God uses him in ministry. Ministry is not what we do for God or volunteerism. Ministry is God’s works through us as Father worked through Jesus in the earthly ministry of Jesus (John 14.10). Our
