What is the meaning of separation? Separation means 1.       The action or state of moving or being moved apart. 2.       The state in which a husband and wife remain married but live apart: "she and her husband have agreed to a trial separation". As the basic meaning of the word indicates the doctrine of separation means all born again believers need to keep a line of separation in their lives from sinful and ungodly things in this world in order to keep themselves holy to God who is holy.
