Journal of Biblical Literature 126, No.1 (2007):129-159.          In this article Reidar Aasgaard, from University of Oslo , aims to bring out a systematic presentation of Paul’s language concerning children and childhood and to show the nuance and distinctive features of such usage. Paul’s childhood terminology can be classified by distinguishing between concrete and metaphorical, relational and life stage, and according to semantic field. The last one is more important with respect to this article, which can be further classified, according to Peter Muller, into four field namely kinship, social position, formation and belonging.         1. Kinship: This group reflects a concern in antiquity i.e., producing children for succession and transferring property.

Prayer to Build the Kingdom of God

John Knox the Scottish Reformer was a mighty man of prayer. He was an instrumental to bring great reform and revival in Scotland.  Here is an example of how he prayed, “O Lord, give me Scotland, or I die !” After a time of stillness, again the cry, “O Lord, give me Scotland, or I die !” Once more deep silence. Introduction This article deals with the Pneumatology of Paul and the influence of the understanding of the Spirit in the Old Testament on Pauline pneumatological understanding. In addition, the paper will explore the interrelationship between Pauline Pneumatology and other aspect of his theology specifically with Christology, soteriology and his understanding of the Christian community.
